TESTIMONIALS - From the Owner of Buckingham
Ranch Aussies
Back to testimonials list
I certainly never expected to be writing a testimonial
for one of my dogs, for myself! Many amazing things have happened
over the years with my dogs, always with other people telling
me wonderful and miraculous things … well, here is mine.
I
received a female Aussie from Kentucky named Lily; she bonded
to me right away, never leaving my side. She was distressed
to even sleep out in the front room, so I let her sleep with
me in my room. She always made sure she was touching me when
we went to sleep at night.
A few months back she started whining
and woofing in my face, during the night. I would wake up,
and try to figure out what was wrong-did she need water, need
food, need to go potty? Nothing seemed to be wrong, and I would
go back to sleep. Sometimes she would do this many times a
night, up to six or eight times a night. Finally, one time
I woke up, and felt myself struggling to breathe, to catch
my breath. I went to the doctor and after going to a sleep
clinic to be checked out, found I had sleep apnea from a medication
I was taking. All that time, my Lily was waking me up because
I had quit breathing! Now that I am feeling better, she sleeps
on the floor most of the time, and has settled down to have
a peaceful night of sleep. She still never leaves my side,
and has proven herself to not only be a great mother to her
pups, but a dedicated watchdog when we go out in public.
She
is the double for my precious Bingo, who has proved to be the
most intuitive dog I have ever owned. Please look to the link
about Lily on the Buckingham Ranch’s Discount for Disabled
Persons page. We would like to share some of the special traits
Lily displays with a disabled person … her puppies were very
talented!
